fuckin hell, autocorrect, you really thought I meant to say Amerivan?

Italian here. I can almost assure you that no one was surprised, we like to yell. An Amerivan friend of mine was in Italy studying abroad and he moved into a flat in Rome shared with a Sicilian couple. He told me when he first moved in and spoke only a bit of Italian that he thought they were arguing all the time, and

that's why I said usually

I wonder how much of that is coming from management and the EP. Apparently they are really hurting in ratings and are considering abandoning their liberal bias. It's debatable how much that bias ever existed in the first place, if you ask me, but this is what I've heard. On the prime time shows? Sure, liberal bias.

to be honest, I haven't watched the show for a while, but yeah, I used to see her call him out for saying stupid things, I even saw her hit him once or twice.

you would think so, but considering that so many of them replay bits from his show the night before and they keep doing what he's making fun of them for, I'm not hopeful.

he will be leaving the Daily Show sometime at the end of the year.

just the America part.

usually Mika straightens him out when he says something stupid. I was surprised that it was Willie this time that raised any objection. Any why the fuck is Bill Kristol still being invited on?

I had forgotten about the nanny, someone else pointed that out to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Pete, I'm just saying the show does a really good job of making me constantly change the way I feel about characters.

Oh, that's funny, I would have thought Joan. I think Joan is the most consistently used and abused character on the show. She got passed over for Harry's job, and they never even considered her for it. She made partner but had to sleep with a client. And even after being made partner they still just treat her like a

who's that? I've lost the thread now.

the only other role I think I've seen her in was in Love Actually, and it was a very small part. She played one of the girls in the bar when Colin goes to America.

fuckin hell, when was that, and why don't I remember it?

I've always thought the story we've been seeing is really Peggy's as much as it is Don's. I mean, think about it, in the first episode she's a secretary on her first day, and by the end she's an executive. In the 60's. Unreal.

yeah, I mean, Pete is a jerk, but he never raped anyone.

I thought that too for a while, but I have to say, one of the most brilliant things about the show is how they make you think you know a character or have your mind made up about them, and then they throw a curve ball at you. For example, I generally don't like Pete but a few episodes into Season One when he goes home

it's ace. I don't think its on Netflix yet and I can't just watch it on Channel 4 now that I live in the States.
