I actually thought for a minute at the end of season 7 part 1 that Don and Peggy were going to get together, but I believe pretty firmly that's a sacred cow to Weiner, and one that will never see the inside of the abattoir.

I don't think they're going to do it. I think the show will end with Peggy remaining single, but having climbed the corporate ladder quite well.
did you see him on the Black Mirror Christmas special?
I've gotta say, I love the direction they went with Joan. In season 1 they presented her as the dumb head secretary with no ambitions other than sleeping with a partner, but later on they showed her to be actually very clever, ambititious, but totally fucked over by the system.
I have a working theory that throughout pretty much all of seasons 1 and 2, the writers were shouting at us "can you believe shit used to be like this?!!!"
I've actually sort of found some sympathy for Betty in the last two seasons, I can't quite explain why.
I really didn't see it coming, I thought he was going to marry Faye, as well. I don't understand the Megan hate, though.
that's already happening, their sales are way down. Chipotle and the other fast casual places are really cutting into their business, because if you spend just a little more (or sometimes the same amount) you get way better quality. Minimum wage could go away tomorrow and it still wouldn't help McDonald's. They should…
worst than that, I'd say they're the person who loudly proclaims how they don't tip, as though it's something to be proud of.
it's up to the manufacturers. They can choose to support both iOS and Android.
+1 for the lamingtons
See: my Pissing Contest winning entry from a few weeks back.
they didn't even let you write your own clever gun slogan? Doesn't sound very libertarian to me.
I visit a customer in the Hudson Valley a few times a year, and when I do I usually stop at this diner in Liberty, NY. The food is good and it's entertaining, as the staff regularly get into these loud arguments. One time I was sitting at the counter eating my dinner, and the one waitress kept going back into the…
I have a similar Waffle House story. I used to play in a band and when we would tour in the south we would eat at Waffle House. We stopped at one in...I think it was Tennessee one time and of the four of us, I was the only one who ordered the waffle. So everyone else's food comes out, and the server tells me my waffle…
New Yorker here, and I must admit: Chicago has better hot dogs.
thank you for doing the good work of purging the industry of people who can't spell or pronounce espresso.
I thought the same. I love Noomi, but Rooney absolutely killed it as Lisbeth in this, and Daniel Craig was also great. Plus, Christopher Plummer and Robin Wright! Not to mention Stellan Skarsgard but he was sort of a given. I also loved that Fincher actually shot this in Sweden.
This is a great piece, and I'm glad to read this from someone who writes about food, where normally the acceptance of chef worship is just an Accepted Thing. I do have a problem with some of the comments though that are saying things like haute cuisine is an overpriced scam, etc. Haute cuisine and fine dining are not…
definitely, if you watch his UK shows he is a completely different person. Fox has played up his image as the madman chef in the interest of ratings, and it is unfortunate that he has let them.
