I actually thought for a minute at the end of season 7 part 1 that Don and Peggy were going to get together, but I believe pretty firmly that's a sacred cow to Weiner, and one that will never see the inside of the abattoir.

I don't think they're going to do it. I think the show will end with Peggy remaining single, but having climbed the corporate ladder quite well.

I've gotta say, I love the direction they went with Joan. In season 1 they presented her as the dumb head secretary with no ambitions other than sleeping with a partner, but later on they showed her to be actually very clever, ambititious, but totally fucked over by the system.
