I’ve only seen a few episodes of the original Japanese series so I can’t say how well this new one lives up to it, but I do think it does a good job of talking about the cuisine, culture and techniques while balancing it with the entertainment and humor.

I have to say I’m genuinely surprised at some of the stats here:

Is it possible they won’t reopen them (or open new ones) because they believe that long term, demand will not justify the expense, with decreased use of gasoline for transport (EVs) and decreased use of plastics?

“I’m a free market capitalist, but the government really should control the prices of the things that I think are to expensive. But also, if  the government were to subsidize health care costs, that would be socialism.”

It has improved greatly in recent years though, and as far as I know, it’s standard now. At least it was on my 2018 320i and is now on my 2022 330e, where I use it daily to check the battery level/charging and set the departure time for preconditioning. Those two uses alone make it a must for me. The only  feature

I like it and have actually enjoyed season 3, my only complaint is that I felt like I had a grasp on what was happening up until this episode, the Clementine/Musashi bit lost me, but that could just mean I need to do some reading up.

I think your theory about Caleb having been one of the outliers is spot on, the fact that they keep showing his flashbacks to when Francis died is telling. Also, did Liam recognize him just before he died? He said “it was you” to him. If so, why wouldn’t he have recognized him until then? Someone said in another post

I kind of had the impression that people at William’s level of wealth/social hierarchy aren’t really subject to Rehoboam’s rules, but you could be right. I think the parks for him and people like him were an escape to a world where they could feel a bit of danger.

Rick Wilson, who I follow on Twitter, said something about this along the lines of “we may look back on this as the time when the Steak-Umm account became self-aware”

Also, I imagine Dolores must be thinking “wow, so you humans do the same thing to yourselves that you do to us?” Meaning, build a world where your destiny is determined by an algorithm.

Naziworld does make sense as a park theme, because white hat guests would want to visit and do their thing.

It’s also plausible, because we’re taught that reusable code is a good thing.

I thought Angela was great, if nothing else, she was the character who had a similar background to Elliot, but followed the more traditional path. We got to see how easy it was for her to become a criminal. I mean, Darlene had her planting a femtocell in the FBI field office. That escalated quickly. And I found the

Yeah, I was pretty sure there was no way Dom was just going to let Dark Army get away with that shit. She did not disappoint.

You’re correct, and this was reported on last week when all of this was breaking. I can’t remember who it was, but maybe someone at State or some former WH staffer was quoted as saying “he’s been told countless times that all of these crazy conspiracy theories aren’t true, shown evidence, etc. but he refuses to accept

Also, I have to admit, I really didn’t see the subplot with Roman being taken hostage by the Azeris while trying to negotiate a deal (after buying the wrong football club) coming.

I would use it, but it would be great if they offered rides to Manhattan from JFK (if they do, I missed it in the article.) I live upstate and fly to the city just about every week, and it’s the JFK to Manhattan ride that kills me. I usually can’t get into the city in less than an hour. Now, getting to JFK, it depends

WaPo is gradually uncovering it. Looks like it may have been promising aid and weapons to Ukraine if they would restart investigation into Biden, or release what they had on him.

I think a more effective argument is a restriction on the types of guns that are available. You used to be able buy Thompson machine guns, now you can’t. I don’t hear Republicans arguing that people should be able to buy them again. So what’s the difference between that and restrictions on assault rifles? Either an

Former resident of Australia here. I think you’re overlooking the fact that the majority of homicides in Australia did not involve guns even before the ban, so it’s no surprise that did not change. What did change was that the government (even the very conservative PM) and the vast majority of people understood that
