Jo's departure is far more heartbreaking than Rose's. Mostly because it was subtly hinted that Jo and the Doctor had feelings for each other and not hammered down our throats like Davies did in Doomsday. It's far sadder than Rose whaling like a siren "I WUV I WOVE OMG I WUV YOU!!!!!!" then for the next two seasons…

This. So much this. I'm amazed at how successful a hack like James Wan can become in Hollywood by using the same old, tired horror tropes.

Oh, for sure Insidious. And The Conjouring. And Sinister. All recent examples of, "shrug." They're just...kind of lifeless and unfun. Also, I am sick of Ed and Lorraine Warren-inspired anything. Their con artistry is scary. The movies based on their con artist stories aren't.

A list of villains, antiheroes, and assholes named Cain or Kane and that's all you can come up with? Your list is woefully deficient and you should feel bad. Now get out!
