Exactly. Speaking as someone who didn't have a pass; they weren't being reckless, as Mr.Westbrook tried to argue, they were holding off as long as they felt they could to give the 135,000 or so attendees a chance to have the event. I've frankly found this attack on a small non-profit to be disgraceful.

It’s the internet. If you take a minute to stop and think through your billion dollar decision that affects hundreds of thousands of people then you are a bad person.

They canceled 3 months ahead of the convention and only a day after the also-in-July San Diego Pride canceled. It’s been less than a month since Governor Newsom issued the statewide shelter-in-place order. SDCC has a very small full-time staff that also had to handle a short notice cancelation of WonderCon and only

The movies really wasted Storm, both the Halle Berry and the Alexandra Shipp versions. She should have been at the center of the movie, not relegated off to the side. In fact, if your name wasn’t Xavier, Magneto, Logan, or Mystique, you didn’t really get to do much of anything.

I finally watched season 2 of True Detective a couple weeks ago and if I’m being honest, I don’t see the reason for all the hate. It had a stronger overall story and script than season 1 and all the actors did a good job including, surprisingly, Vaughn.

I get that it wasn’t supposed to be a huge secret, but Kanan was basically wearing a big ol’ neon sign saying “DED” the whole time. It lessened the shock almost completely, especially when he died in such an odd way. Awesome visuals though, especially when his eyes came back.

Also, Qyburn’s giant crossbow rocket launcher is terrible and looks like it belongs in Army of Darkness or Dragonheart or any of those ‘90s medieval fantasy movies where they have impossibly complex weaponry just to make it more badass, and the fact it was hidden in giant wagon that had collapsible walls was even

Looks good. The voice of Harley is pretty horrible though. Shame they couldn’t get Arleen Sorkin or even Tara Strong.

Enjoy this handy Episode Guide as reassurance that the middle of season 2 is in fact going someplace, eventually

I have heard that argument, and it is not convincing.

I think most VFX artists take pride in people NOT noticing their work. The biggest compliment to them is if they convinced you it was real. WFRR is an example of compositing at its finest. Cool world (especially that example clip) definitely is not even close to being as convincing as WFRR.

True—but as the video says, the audience will catch it subconsciously, if nothing else. And if you’ve got the time and the budget, why not be excellent instead of just good? (Admittedly, I might be a little biased there: I do QA on courseware for a living.)

I took that more as an artist/artist-to-be phrase. Most people won’t notice, but animators will because they have an eye capable of discerning the skill level it would take because they themselves may have the same skills.

We were shown that he was kinda nuts and willing to torture people.
