Missed out but I’d like to nominate the Subaru Crosstrek with a manual gearbox. Suspension is fairly tight and flat in the corners, good steering feel, takes all the suspension bits from an ‘08 - ‘14 WRX and with an exhaust, it rumbles. You can carry your kids, your dog, climb shit, and still drive it fast. Its always…
I just over nighted a snake from Colorado and it impresses me how they can ship a living thing so fast. On top of that, it was $50 which honestly is totally worth it considering a life is depending on it.
Did the same recently, 48 months at 1.3% with the intent on paying it off in 2 to 3 years. Its much easier sacrifice a bit of play money now to have no debt a lot soon.
Showed up to a local classic car show in my ’85 Scirocco and proceed to hear an endless stream of idiotic mouth breathing:
Bought General Tire Altimax Artics for my Scirocco last year. SW Michigan is quite literally a frozen hell, but those tires make it way more tolerable, even with no ABS or traction control. I’m considering getting them for my Crosstrek next winter once I destroy the abysmal Yoko’s that came stock with it.
Not that Kansas is known for having bad winters, but two years ago an early snow and an old VW got the best of me. Right before returning home for winter break, my ‘85 Scirocco had its manifold injector fail. But I didn’t know that so the engine kept flooding. I had to clear the engine close to 10 times before I…
Yes cause the answer to theft is always execution . The thief will sit on death row for 20+ years awaiting thier day in the chair, all the while car chases are still happening because the root cause wasn’t addressed. Execution is like trickle down economics; it has never worked and will continue to not work regardless…
Can’t agree more. Along with that though, the cost of ownership of a car is much higher now than it used to be, even accounting for inflation. I think many young people would love to have their own car but a high school salary just doesn’t cut it anymore when your parents don’t help you financially.
What bothers me is that we could probably import a shinkansen rail system from Japan for a fraction of the cost of all the R&D that has to go into the very challenging and uncertain future of the Hyperloop. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against R&D and exploring possibilities. However, when we can’t even convince our…
Ok, then why the video from the dealership NOT condoning it?
Totally agree with this. I bought a 2017 Crosstrek in March because a) Michigan roads suck b) Michigan insurance is super expensive (ie no way I’m getting a closely priced hot hatch or rwd coupe) c) I wanted a wagon. I ordered the STI wing, shift knob and grill. The only ‘STI’ thing its truly missing is a turbo flat…
I bet you he has more than 100 grand under the hood
This looks like something straight from syd mead’s mind
Only Tangerine Dream will do
I was there on Saturday and from what I saw the carnage was pretty bad. The roof had been ripped off approximately around the height of the drivers head and was incredibly twisted.
I’m seeing a mid-engined VR6 mk2 scirocco in my future...
