For me it’s sitting in my car with the windows open and hearing an awful mechanical noise and then wondering if it’s my car or not and then it turns out it was the next car over and then they drive away taking that nightmarish noise with them phew it wasn’t me.

It’s objectively impossible that you’d spend less than $5K/year on this thing.

What? It needed new injectors and new front suspension parts at < 40k miles.

I dunno, I’d probably be willing to go as high as $3k for one with this mileage and in this condition, but that’s still less than half of the asking price.

I still get a kick out of the irony of this relationship. The company with engines balanced farthest out on front of the FRONT tires partners with the company with engines balanced the farthest out behind the BACK tires. They should merge into one company and call it “Pendulum Automobiles”.

Similar to a Pontiac with a Chevrolet OHV six like they did in some Canadian Pontiacs? Wow, how crazy. A GM designed motor in a GM car. Someone musta been trippin.

AGHH. Damn it. That looks great. I wanted to be the first person to do that. Good job.

This comment is going to be supremely buried but...

I mean, seriously, do you know anyone who’s got a Buick?

It looks WAY better than the VW and Subaru, and shouldn’t be NEAR as expensive (Unless optioned to the teeth) as a 3-series. It’s between this and the Volvo V60 for that niche slot for uppity-granola types who can’t be seen at the Whole Foods with the same Outback as everyone else. If the V60 gets that Volvo XC90

Seriously, Jalops, this is it. The moment of truth. We need to buy this car.

Everybody

Except all 4 windows will actually roll down when you command them to.

FWIW, while I get why track day organizers might drop the hammer on sweet, sweet sideways action, mmm. That’s some excellent driftage. (Moar plz.)

I’ve had a similar experience. I took a wrong turn to a friend’s cottage once, ended up driving down an old logging road that was washed out in several places, and had to do some light rock crawling down a steep ATV trail to get back to the main road, in a Hyundai Accent.

If that were the case, they’d just buy wagons and hatchbacks. This is pure image, and the sheer horror of a single snowflake possibly hitting the ground. Also, that one road up to their cottage that’s still gravel.

Christ it must be horrible walking through a subie meet. I get irritated when I’m at the C&C and some knucklefuck is trying his damnedest to make sure everybody else enjoys his grape flavored tuberculosis.
