But he didn’t do it. That’s the whole point. He had no trust in any appeals process to exonerate him because it was so easy to frame him the first time. The man was trying to do right by his family. Calling him a coward is a real piece of shit move.

Because he was afraid he would still lose and his family would be left with nothing. Actually being innocent or guilty often doesn’t mean shit. Our criminal justice system is horrendously broken.
Hey man, nice shot.
You’re both right. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R._Budd_Dwyer
The way i remember it he was an innocent man, and used his own death as an exlamation point to that claim. He said his friends set him up, but no one would listen to him.
He died doing what he loved - killing people.
I’m reminded of Budd Dwyer, then-treasurer of Pennsylvania, who was to be sentenced for bribery. The day before his sentencing, he held a press conference and offed himself on live television. Because he technically died in office, his wife got survivor benefits. Had he lived, there would be no pension and plenty of…
I’m just waiting for the Trump Administration to make all libraries illegal. Then that sweet, sweet $0.10/day penalty I’ve accrued will be gone forever!
Aaron Hernandez, an innocent man, died in prison. Yet, Tom Brady (clearly guilty of evidence tampering) walks free. That’s America for you.
I’ll be in a cold hard grave before I pay that $1.10.
Does the suicide trick work for library fines, too?
Full disagree. The Bulls/Celtics never had an entertaining game. The Bulls dominated the first 2 games, the Celtics dominated the rest. This series has the complete hostility each game, with game 1 close during the 2nd and 3rd period with dominant perfirmances in the first and fourth frame. The second game was closely…
John Wall is playing out of his mind (grading it on a no-father-figure curve, of course).
Interesting that the prosecutor’s office requested this, because they “haven’t decided whether or not to press charges,” aka “We were going to hide this and now your meddling is forcing us to look like we’re doing something”
“We have nothing to hide, except the documents we’re trying to hide.”
I’m tired of big-time college sports.
“We have nothing to hide! We did everything we could to prevent this from happening!!! We’re victims just as much as those cheerleaders!”
You shouldn’t hate your gender. That’s painting with a very broad brush. You should dislike people without honor or integrity — REGARDLESS of what is between their legs.
Wow. One of the most eloquent (and impeccably-referenced) pieces of writing I’ve seen in a very long time. I hope Ms. Denhollander will continue to advocate for victims’ rights, as she seems to be brilliantly suited for the task. Unfortunately, many had to be hurt for this to come to light, but hopefully some good…
