This may explain why I will never be in a position to make such a decision, but I have never understood why people worth tens of millions of dollars or more continue working, regardless of what field they are in. Like, I’m in my mid-30s. If I could somehow get my hands on $6 million free and clear, I’d never work

With any luck, he’ll soon forget which team he played for.

The Social Justice Warrior is largely a construct (a myth not a mister) of the anti-movements so they can have yet another “feminine” to rage against. I have no energy for these people.

/internet high five. The Satanic Temple seems to align with a lot of my beliefs, but not really my cuppa tea. Unitarianism is very much explore mythos and find what suits you.

“The three people killed on the bridge are men!”

I like Quakers, they seem nice.

The Satanic Temple and Unitarianism seem pretty OK to me.

Someone got new talking points in her email this morning.

Showrunner Bruce Miller told the New York Times, “I don’t feel like it’s a male or female story; it’s a survival story.”

Scientology is really not comparable to Islam, or any other established faith with centuries of history and millions upon millions of followers.

I think it’s kind of fucked up to call Scientology a religion or equate the faith of Scientologists to the faith of Catholics or Jews or Muslims. Scientology was related by a megalomaniac 50 years ago who demonstrably lied about what the tenants of the religion did to ‘heal’ him after WW2.

a deeply problematic religion

Yup. They are sex/reproduction slaves.

In a piece that went up on HuffPost this morning, Moss now says that the show is definitely feminist and she is a “card-carrying feminist,” which I find confusingly contradictory to what she’s said before, but good for her!

For me, [The Handmaid’s Tale is] not a feminist story. It’s a human story, because women’s rights are human rights. So, for me, I never intended to play Peggy as a feminist.

UGH, fuck all of them. The abject terror they are displaying at being associated with the term “feminism” is sickening and this show can suck it. “Females are humans and I’m for human rights” is the new #alllivesmatter.
