I disagree. I think the Pistols' album is better than the Clash's debut. But every album the Clash released after that, basically, aside from the last one and a half, was a masterpiece. But if you're in the mood for sarcastic hatred and nihilism, Bollocks beats everything the Clash ever did

It's especially crazy considering the fact that, when I worked at the same place, when "50 Shades of Grey" came out, there was far more insanity going on in the lounge/theaters. Sex Pistols were a great band. But the Damned were pretty much equal. It was a matter of chance, who got on the Bill Grundy show and whatever, who had the loudest style. Like NWA were great, but there were a lot of better hiphop groups who didn't have the same lucky attention

But let's be real anyway. Geto Boys were always better than NWA. Same way Damned were better than the Pistols - Pistols got the press at the right time. Better band got lost in the shuffle.
