Alaska is pretty great IMO, but this was a very annoying clip.
The blackout cuts and the subtitles are very off-putting.

Yeah, well I did say “of old” (meaning more like 1930/40s).
My theory is they must have made the red carpet that colour to disguise the blood from Hollywood stars’ feet after walking on broken flashbulbs ;)

Sunny 16 is a good rule for film photographers.
Another one that press photographers of old used was to set your focus to 8-10ft and try to stay within that distance from your subject when covering an event.

You just need patients!
