Go back and get an X61, slap in 8GB RAM and SSD, install Linux Mint. If you’re doing graphics, you want GIMP (Photoshop, also works via Wine), and a mouse or tablet.

If I had a “junky” laptop, I wouldn’t be spending $450 extra.
Have seen pretty good results where people are using PCI Express adapters with external GPUs - and that is with proper, ‘junky’ laptops.

Seems typical of Apple to remove something from their product, make it more fragile, and charge more. Pretty soon you guys’ll be just buying glass slivers.
I’ll just stick with my regular phone with a bezel, thanks.
