1960s “health food” flashback. Probably on the recommendation of a Prevention Magazine suggestion, my always health conscious mother fed us yogurt with wheat germ sprinkled on it. We also had to eat carob bars instead of chocolate bars. Meanwhile, every soft drink in the fridge had sodium cyclomate or saccharine.

Tzatziki all day every day. Also, plain Greek yogurt in lieu of sour cream is a healthy substitute in many recipes.
