I used to live in Chicago too! It’s been a minute or so. I worked in a vintage shop in Boystown (what the straight people called “Wrigleyville) but I never made it to the parade there. I kinda miss Chicago... except for the weather, heh. But, the music scene there...!!!

I can’t imagine that this has anything to do with the fact that the affluent can not better afford the time and expense of prosecution. Nor do I suspect it has anything to do with the wealthy thinking they should run everything to benefit themselves, while convincing everyone else that “that’s just how it is.”

I have a lot of friends. My friend group is a very social bunch of weirdos. That’s great (if a bit bizarre) for introverted me. I probably have more friends than I shoud, because it’s hard to keep up with everyone’s life!

I agree with you on this as well. Our conscious mind - wants and wishes, the part that thinks it knows everything and is infallaible... that’s the prefrontal cortex. It’s like 5% of the brain.
