Venmo markets itself as an easy way to split the check with your friends. In that case, the taxes would have been included in the original transaction. In that case, I’m not making money, it’s another substitute for cash.

Sounds like it shouldn’t be that big a hardship to just get a little cashbox and keep $20 or so worth of change in it, as it doesn’t come up that often. Seems unfair to expect the employees to also make change.

I always pay cash, whenever possible. They don’t need to know my business.
