It looks like she’s not so much wanting to reach out to descendants as make the records available online in the hope that it will help any descendants who are researching their family.

It would be useful to know how many noise complaints were responded to and how many citations issued during the same time frame, and the races of those arrested vs those cited.
We had a scary Amber Alert in my area just last week where an ex with a restraining order on him kidnapped the mother and child out of the parking lot of a clinic. Thankfully the police found them before anything worse happened.
Assholes like him are absolutely taking advantage of the fact that someone punching them in the face will face assault charges. Even if there are local laws on the books about “fighting words” and the charges get dropped because it was determined that the asshole went out of his way to provoke, it’s still something…
You can bet that someone spitting on a police officer is going to be charged with felony aggravated assault and given the full range of blood tests so the charges can be upped if they have anything communicable.
Angel food cake with white frosting. What flavor is it? White.
Exactly right. Many years ago I had a tech at a dealership fuck up when replacing a fuel pump and forget to recalibrate the gas gauge, so I ran out of gas when the gauge indicated I still had a quarter tank left. When the head mechanic heard what had happened he pulled the tech off another job and made him fix the…
We had a long gravel driveway back when I got one of those, so I spent hours drawing mazes in the gravel and trying to program it to maneuver through them.
Based on the attitude of the air force, the weapons currently being procured and extrapolation, the replacement will be delayed until 20 years after the last A-10 fails due to exhaustion. They’ll cost 250 million per airframe, require a 14K foot runway for takeoff, be almost unable to maneuver under 10K feet and will…
My favorite response was “There has never been a terrorist attack at my house. I masturbate incessantly. Draw your own conclusions.”
A small glimmer of good news in that there were senior officers who were going “Oh god what fuckery is this?” and not ones determined to double down no matter how stupid the decisions were.
Maybe the shooter was a good guy with a gun, until he wasn’t.
Yeah, I knew we were going to be stuck with whatever we bought for a long time so I did a lot of research into reliability. Resale wasn’t really a factor I cared about, as my family has a long history of owning cars until they can’t be kept running any more.
Mostly pity on the dealer’s part IMO.
I’m right there with you, but sometimes it can take a while to get to that ideal state. We currently have no monthly expenses beyond internet and credit cards (and we don’t run a balance on those) but it took a couple of decades and significant luck (and family help) to get here.
We had to get an 84 month loan on a car that had been used by the dealership for test drives because at the time being poor that was what we could manage in terms of monthly payments.
It’s a pretty interesting turn of phrase to be sure. Have to wonder if his kids won’t be giving him some serious side-eye at some point because of it.
Southdale mall in MN is one of the first fully enclosed malls and I think it’s continued survival is partly due to the fact that the population has grown out to surround it. In 1954 it was in the middle of open fields, but these days while the area is still strongly car centered there’s enough density and it’s…
I’m sure that every CC holder will be completely on board with precedent establishing that the “reasonable response” to them informing a police officer that they have a gun is a panicked barrage of bullets into their chest.
