Suburban White Woman Visits City

I read this and felt like instead of telling any stories about the event, or try to connect with the people, you wrote a diary entry about how you went somewhere you weren’t super comfortable and weren’t welcoming in return to the people who tried to speak to you and then you left. That’s a huge bummer all around and

I think it was dumb of Keaton to post the tweet, and dumb of Dunham to comment about the rape accusation against her friend withouth anyone asking her to do so, but I really don’t see what’s wrong with saying sexual assault and pedophilia are wrong, and male entitlement is widespread, while also believing your friend

It could be worse. He could have wanted to name him ‘Ethan’

People naming children after cultural references started shortly after people started naming children.

HE DOES NOT KNOW DE WAE

leave it to a Morty to stand up and do the right thing.

We’re speaking on different levels. My point was about the conceptual tools of the article, not its specific targets. The whole point was that the tools of critique can be turned against other, more vulnerable, targets. But I get it, this is not a point that can be raised here without friction.

I wish this article were more specific. What were the changes that were made to the Women’s March platform that caused some women to leave? Did Lupita really faced twice as much risk and got half as much credit as all the other actresses coming forward at the same time? Are there examples of black actresses coming
