He's the king of Boggle. There is none higher. He got 11 points off the word "quagmire".

One of my favorite Pogues songs. And you get a nice view of Shane's famous teeth in this clip.

I got my haircut correct like Anthony Mason, then I ride the IRT right up to Penn Station.

I saw Roger Waters on the Radio KAOS tour. Carrack was the keyboard player in the band. While there was no official opening act, Carrack came out and sat at the keyboard and, by himself, played and sang How Long and Tempted. Very different from Waters stuff but I thought it was a very cool way to start the show.

The movie this is from 20 Feet From Stardom was great. I think it won the Oscar for Best Documentary that year.

With Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on guitar. His Wikipedia page has the following first paragraph -

we all laughed at Zima, but Zima is having the last laugh. That is basically what all these "hard" fruity drinks are.

I agree. Once you get over the "WTF?"

The Defranco Family reminded me of this. Heard this on the satellite 70's station over Thanksgiving. Everything about this song and video is amazing. It is hard to believe that this is not fake.

Some great Bobby Keys stories in Keith's autobiography "Life". The one that jumps to mind is when Keith says "If you ever want to know haw many bottles of Dom Perignon it takes to fill up a bathtub with a girl in it, ask Bobby." Apparently its what got him kicked off the tour and had Jagger ban him from the band for a

Here is another song that was somewhat big for them. I went to school in Philly at the time and there was a station that loved these guys.

This made my night.

This song is great. The girl who worked in the cube next to me back then used to play their whole CD over and over in her cubicle and I remember it being pretty good.

I have said for years, there is no better name for a greatest hits album than "Gord's Gold"

We had that CD playing on repeat in the delivery room when my daughter was born. She was born during Ben Harper's cover of Strawberry Fields Forever and I swear that whenever we played it when she was an infant, her eyes would widen and she would stop whatever she was doing and start looking around the room.
