This came off the I Am Sam soundtrack. Never saw the movie but the soundtrack is a bunch of Beatles covers. Great CD.

I have that strange disappointed/relieved feeling because I was expecting a video of the injury/finish.
I always figured the middle name was in case you became a famous assassin - John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, James Earl Ray, Mark David Chapman.
It's called a "coin slot" for a reason. Not a "whole damn purse slot".
What about a Double Shot?
Got this song stuck in my head today. Strange choice to cover this song. But they re-imagined it and make it something completely different than the original (which is also great).
I love the when I know the DUAN song just by the lyrics used in the title post. Doesn't happen often, but its always a thrill.
Can't go wrong with Al Green.
Gave my 2 weeks notice. Moving onto bigger and better things. I don't want to hold onto any bitterness, but this was the song that I played over and over for the last year or so as the new ownership did their best to drive every person with a brain out of the company (I don't include myself in that group).
Well, Tony Curtis is dead now so I am not sure how you are going to prove it.
Nice. I never heard this version. I have always loved Stevie Ray's cover.
Great song. God help anyone in the car with me if this ever comes on the radio.
I went to the Triple A All Star game in 2001. Dunn hit two home runs in the game and was named MVP. One of the HR's went clear out of the park and into the street. My biggest mistake was going to the autograph session in the afternoon. There were only 2 players that had long lines for their autographs. I didn't have…
It was right after Bachelor No 2 came out so heavy on her solo stuff. Lots of Michael Penn solo stuff. Might have done some Til Tuesday but i don't think they did Voices Carry. They did this, which is one of my favorites of his.
Just caught the documentary on Tribe while I was flipping around last night. What a great movie.
Back around 2000 (might have been a year or so later or earlier) I saw Aimee Mann and Michael Penn together in concert. Patton Oswalt opened and was hilarious. Aimee and Michael come out and play about 3 songs before speaking to the audience and saying that, while they love playing live, they hate to do between song…
Thanks! Love all the stuff you have been posting. Keep up the good work!
That whole CD is amazing. Saw him last year and he did 9 or 10 songs off it. This song played at my wedding as our song.
Cool. I loved the version Rucker and Sweet did at the Brian Wilson tribute, but I have never seen this version. Matthew Sweet is one of my favorites.
Mo's last game got me too. When he buried his face into Pettite's shoulder, I lost it. But I went into last night cynical as heck. I think because it has been shoved down my throat all season and was just a huge cash grab by the Yankees and Jeter.
