@utensil42: I assumed it was a still from Big Love or something, which I've never seen. He looks like an actor made up to seem as creepy as possible. I had to google him to see that yep, that's the guy.

@midwestdesigner: Nope. But I've been married forever and my husband isn't into porn, so if I shaved he'd probably think it was weird.

For the first time ever, I'm exercising not to look better or lose weight, but to feel better, live longer and get more done in my day. And for the first time, I'm keeping up with it, and I'm enjoying it. I'm not overdoing it and having to quit because of injuries, or making myself miserable adhering to someone else's

@MargaretMoony: Yes! And for all we know, Zahara hates to have her hair messed with and her parents don't want to make it a power struggle. And surely they let their kids have some say in how they dress, if only to pick between two pairs of shoes in the morning. Zahara deserves to have as much say over her own hair

@Sunday's child: Ooh, your placenta is a team of acrobats! Awesome. It's so nice that we can request these things. #racism

Even before i was a vegetarian, my favorite configuration for food was what my old Joy of Cooking calls "filled things." These are tacos, enchiladas, dinner pies of all kinds, crepes, sandwiches, omelets, spring rolls, ravioli, etc. These are all things that make great vegetarian food. Have recipes for a few of these,

@JilliefromChile: I remember commenting on another forum when I first when veg about missing my mom's fried chicken. I figured out that mostly what I was missing was my mom, not the chicken. I comforted myself with the thought that had she lived to see my vegetariansim, my mom would have made me some awesome vegan

One of the hardest things for me, going vegetarian, is that other people can't separate the food from the friendship or family. Whereas, I feel that I have the right not to eat something that I think is death. You can bend over fucking backwards, but for some, if you're not going to eat what they do, then you're not

@blue_streak: Oh sorry for repeating everyone. I didn't realize I wasn't seeing hidden threads as usual.

@Cimorene: The umbilical cord is connected to the placenta. It sounds like she delivered the placenta at the same time as her baby.

@lodown: It's more likely to be a quick delivery if you've already given birth at least once. My little sister was born on Christmas Day and was almost delivered iin the hallway of the hospital while they were tracking down the doctor.

My doctor was kind of an asshole about my weight when I was pregnant. I started out tiny, and gained exactly what they told me I should - not because I tried to control it, it just worked out that way*, and my doctor told me several times that I was gaining too much weight. I had to tell him "check my chart, I started

If my dad were leaving for a war, I'd be picking my nose, too.

@blue_streak: Oh ick I just linked to Michelle Malkin. Well, you get to see the insanity first hand, sigh.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a warning this spring and right wingers wigged out, and the DHS backed down, publicly at least. I wished at the time that they hadn't felt the need to do that, but no doubt they've been investigating all this time.
