The specific problem with conservative-type thinking is this - why should I do something for *other people’s* benefit? If I don’t currently have COVID, and I can’t imagine getting it, then the vaccine doesn’t benefit me personally. Shortsighted and selfish, yes, but I think it explains their position.

The reason for mandating the vaccine is for multiple reasons, from a practical reason and ignores all politics:
