I’m sure if they swapped the motor and batteries out with something more modern it would be a pretty great car. Yet another interesting car BMW won’t let us have, like the one-off M3 UTE they made as a track day support vehicle.

In this case, I wouldn’t want to lose the cup holders, so I’d go for something like this:
I was on route 99 in Cumberland, RI in my car at the time (2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V) with so-so all-season tires. It was a snowy morning and the road was pretty clear except for the thin pile on the dashed white line between lanes. Went to pass a car that I felt was going too slow. I did so on a long bridge…
Ugh, I hate this. I am not looking forward to sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway and having it sound like some kid set off every electronic toy in the toy store all at once.
If we could trust shipping and cruise companies to obey regulations and not just turn around and sell to embargoed nations, nuclear reactors would take care of that problem.
This looks good. I’d say it needs an arcade cabinet, but where would they go? :-(
Not sure if my desperation for an SW20 MR2 is making me appreciate this car as a “next best thing” replacement. Maybe with an engine and transmission swap it would be a much more fun and reliable ride?
2nd Gear: “We have to engage with the prospect not just on the product, but on their passion about what they want to drive,”
When I was 18 my 1990 Camry (it was really my Mom’s) got stolen and wrecked and it was time for me to buy my first real car. I had the opportunity to buy an SW20 Toyota MR2 in a beautiful dark blue for like $5,000. I ended up buying the brand new 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V (first one in the state) and although I…
Oh man, that’s awesome. As a home gamer who only gets under his cars a dozen or so times a year, this would be great to prevent the neck strain I get whenever I do something that takes longer than oil change. When does the $100 Harbor Freight version come out? Actually, scratch that. Even with the real one I could…
I use my backup camera to see how far into a space I am. If I pull through a spot, I use the camera to make sure I’m passed the divider line, but not far from it. If I don’t pull through, I still use the camera to make sure I can see a little bit of the line ends.
I’m blown away by how often I see someone driving around looking for the closest possible spot, just so they can save walking an extra hundred feet or so. Then go into the mall and walk a mile or two.
Quite a few cars are just about there already!
As long as I get to test drive the car somehow, I would absolutely do the purchase part online. In fact, I’m looking forward to it. If I never have to haggle price again, I’d be ecstatic. Finding the same-ish car at five different dealerships with five different prices and their asking price is intentionally a…
Well, you could read her very own blog post about it. Does she ever say “I hate trans people” in it? No, but she does write, at length about how she feels the majority of today’s trans community are only trans because of social media and peer pressure. That a lot of people are really just homophobic, so instead of…
Reading your critique on the Q60 Red Sport has me a little concerned about the upcoming 400Z. Same engine with an updated (not new) chassis, right? At least it has a stick, that has to help!
Her anti-trans stance just seems so crazy given the world she created. People can turn into animals whenever they want and they all, at least partly, identify as those animals. She dedicated quite a bit of time to a potion that can not only change someone’s gender, if they choose, but turn them into an actual other…
We live in a very reactive society that throws a tantrum over even the slightest of inconveniences. If people charging their cars starts causing frequent rolling blackouts all year round, either the infrastructure (the same one that can’t possibly be updated or improved today because of reasons) will improve very…
That was my question too. Polestar barely has two models out and it’s already becoming irrelevant. Maybe they’ll just reabsorb it as a performance variant of Volvo models again.
More of an EV with optional range extender. Why lug around a gas engine in your EV 100% of the time when 99% of people don’t need it 99% of the time (as long as you’re getting, like, 200 miles a charge normally).
