My favorite take:  Iain M. Banks’ Culture series, where organic life forms are essentially tolerated pets to AI.  AIs are essentially so advanced that other life forms register either as a source of amusement or merely something that happens to exist.

Yup, he telegraphs everything.  Plus all his blocks/punches are just arm based movements, with no shifting of balance...there’s no power and no fluidity, just static, sequential movements.  Leaden...listless...boring.

The class, by all accounts, is a Master’s Course in White Tears. It’s a mandatory stepping stone toward a Doctorate in Obliviousness.

Anyone with some epidemiological insight with this?  The authors of the study above dismissively say “the evidence is the evidence,” but it is not as though the studies over the years concluding moderate alcohol consumption is beneficial were not based on empirical evidence as well.  Which studies have the bigger…
