Obviously to a certain extent pricing is simply based on what the market will support.

“Come on, the interior can’t be that ba...”

Except the i3 actually was released comparatively early on (for mainstream brands), and arguably sufferered for that as it was left behind.

If he was trained on video games, it was probably early 2000s games - enough detail to be able to get air, not enough to show crash damage.

Wow, really painted a vivid mental image there.

99% of my Jalopnik browsing is on my mobile, where Android Chrome magically converts the sideshows into a single scrollable frame. But yes, I imagine sideshows would be annoying, particularly for this one where I found myself going back and forth quite a lot.

This. I’ve come to expect a certain level (ie. max) of tackiness from Maybach’s, since that’s the target market. But the ‘instrument cluster’ just looks ridiculous.

Agree the DRLs are needlessly gaudy and can go.

I wouldn’t count on it. Every Falcon pre-AU has been steadily increasing in price, and specials like GTs are eye-watering. Anything that doesn’t need major mechanical and panel work is pretty heinous. Exchange rate might help a little at the moment.

And I genuinely doubt they're going to update all the equipment stampings and mouldings. So the old logo will still zombie on for years. Probably long enough to become the logo again.

This 100%. Changing letterheads, documentation, signatures, branding etc is a staggeringly expensive undertaking. As torch says, at least not that much branding to change, but GM logo will be all over their published material.

Coupes are surprisingly practical family cars, as long as the base car has enough space to start with. The number of people who are baffled that we DD an E92 with two young kids. I mean, it's still the exact same size as the 4 door E90, it's hardly a trial. And in some ways the more front-on access to the rear seats

Googling my own question, seemingly ex-DTM, so assume using whatever the default DTM chassis was at the time.

An Opel amongst that sea of exotics is probably jealous of a whole lot more, if not entirely confused by what it’s doing and how it got there.

Haven’t watched the video yet, so I can only hope and pray he is calling it Kagansegg. Someone, tell me he is?!

The idea of trying to hustle something that large with the brakes and steering of the time across the top of Mt Panorama is genuinely terrifying.

I did one of the intro flights years ago, and whether it was a really chill instructor or my answers during the initial quiz were way more convincing than I thought, but he let me taxi, takeoff, fly and land. Only time I handed off were so I could take a few photos. The whole time I’m thinking “okay, he’s going to

I mean, if the Orichi was originally intended as a one off custom specifically to honour neon genesis, and then they had a moulds and everything and just made a few extra for giggles, it would actually make WAAAAY more sense visually. I think I’m just going to accept this as canon now.

Could grab an extra little cylindrical eraser off the top of a pencil, draw a little visor on it (or minifig-style facial expression of choice. Bonus points for old school goggles) and stick it on top of the ‘racer’ to keep things ‘real’.

Minor correction - Hamilton was penalised for pitting under yellow when pit lane was closed to recover vehicle parked just before the put lane entrance (and that was going to be pushed into put lane, hence unusual closure), not under red after Leclerc’s crash on the first lap after racing resumed.
