To the guy that doesn’t want a gas 3/4 ton because of the ride quality, test drive a Ram with coils or even better, the air suspension. You might be surprised.

I think that may be the wrong question to ask, I think the better question to ask is whether the premium price at CarMax is worth the relatively low hassle experience versus another used car dealer. 

Not cheaper, but in pretty much flawless condition with less than 16K miles for $37,900. Definitely worth the extra $4K.

Trouble is, its not much cheaper than the F150, its slower than the F150, and it doesn’t get much better mileage than an F150.

That’s not true, I’ve lived in towns with laws against turning your yard into a junkyard, no hoa required. There’s a reasonable limit to things, then there’s an HOA.

That’s why I moved into a house next to a graveyard. All my neighbors are dead and never complain about anything. 

The opposite side of having HOAs is having David Tracy as your neighbor.

C/R really needs to split this category into functional reliability and convenience reliability. There is a huge different between your car not starting in the morning and your infotainment interface crashing and requiring you to turn the car off and back on again to fix.
