This is a Saab I would consider buying.

If it can power itself into a normal seating position now, that would great.
So... no actual mechanical changes, then?
Part of that is the essential nature of a site like Jalopnik. It's not a weekly TV show or a monthly magazine, they have to get views every single day or else whoever it is that owns them now (I really didn't keep track) will shut them down. So to get those eyeballs staring at articles (and ads) they have to post…

Yo dawg! I hear you like to cover engines.
Or he was just super happy there was some basic maintenance that could easily be done with the hand injury?
A mechanic friend?
The 30 ton rock truck (offroad dump truck) engulfed in this plume of silt dust has tires that are 5feet diameter and each alone weighs 800lbs to help give perspective to how much dust that is... A snorkel isn’t getting high enough to help my truck breath. Suffice to say my engine air filter gets changed at least twice…
Your friend is an idiot.
Dude.
I change my air filter frequently and they’re not that dirty when pulled out. I just like the idea of having a clean filter in there. I was telling my mechanic friend about what I do and he tried to explain to me that filters actually perform better when dirty. The dirtier the better, he said. He started explaining…
.... the engine cover has a cover. The hell.
Yeah, after that much usage I’d expect a VAG to be quite dirty.
Did you just victim blame a highway?
