I thought that too, until I bought one. The car was exactly what I wanted except for the color. Thing is, I couldn't see the color from inside (much). The dynamic attributes more than made up for the color and in the long run, that grew on me as well.

The pictures are a story unto themselves. Well done, as usual!

That Civic comment is gospel (unfortunate 2006 owner).

Well, you're still one magnificent bastard in my book. Get your Torch on!

“Protein chambers" and "fubes" sound like a COMPLETELY different conversation, especially with that cross-section illustration, ijs....

And we don't want ants!

I'm actually rooting for Elio. I'm not at all in their demographic, but a tiny, efficient, simple, non-electric city car sounds like a winner from a fuel and maintenance standpoint. Good luck to 'em!

Make it a 124 Spider and I'm all in!

I still have that issue of C&D because I'm old. But my 15 year old son does get a kick out of actually reading about the good old days!

I hope he puts a rainbow sticker somewhere on the car (the DuPont kind - not the Gawker kind) :-)

Old timer here. Well played. Mr. Brooks would approve!

Happy to see that as well.

You are truly living the life, my friend. Good on ya!

Great. Now I'm gonna have Steely Dan in my head all day, thanks!

I’m surprised Disney didn’t use the one from Herbie Goes Bananas..........

Friend???

The Bicentennial. Yes I'm old, get off my lawn.....

Would love to see it with dual Dellorto's sticking out of the hood....

+1 for aircooled!

TGUSA also showed us some of this Cuban ingenuity. Too bad they're pretty much done as a show.
