I know it was inappropriate, but they’re not singing out of anything even remotely positive. I responded to a similar post upthread with a fuller explanation:

The centrists who didn’t vote for this bill? Where is all this help for the GOP except in your own perceptions that they’re equally bad?
All that will do is discourage women from coming forward about their rapes. Another way the GOP is trying to shut women up.
Why is everyone getting it wrong on what that singing meant? That singing meant they are going to be OUT next election. Not a shrug. We’re not shrugging out here; we’re writing and calling and protesting.
And if all you do is complain about what the Dems did, then that’s all that gets remembered. This “better than” crap is killing us. The Republicans were sitting there, drinking beer, playing the frickin’ Rocky theme, and partying about stripping millions of Americans of their healthcare.
The Republicans played the Rocky themesong before the vote and drank beer after, why are you only getting worked up over what the Dems did?
I must admit, I am singing Hey Hey, Goodbye as I look up each a-hole Florida MoC who voted party over people and find out who will be running against them, and who I know in their district.
Fuck Republicans. I understand the need for a 2 party system, and there is a strain of conservativism that makes a certain sense — whether or not I agree with it -- but these fucks are all idiots, cowards, and demons wearing ill-fitting human skins. Nothing admirable there, and they deserve to be the minority until…
What kills me is that this bill allows insurers to not have prenatal doctor care now. I thought the GOP loved fetuses.
The only question remaining is “what is the value of maintaining a community with people who hate their community so much?”
I’m more furious about the passing of the ACHA. The democrats know that when they passed the ACA many of them lost their jobs and then in came the tea party. Best thing to do? No idea. But anything that takes the shine of the GOP’s lite beer party is ok by me. Fuck the GOP.
Counter-point: It is fit to print. In the meantime, please direct your anger and phone calls at your senators.
I am the opposite. I am remarkably healthy. I have tremendous low-cost insurance through my employer (and it was that good before the ACA). I have been paying higher and higher premiums every year because of the ACA despite the fact that I have very little cause to ever seek medical treatment.
Your anger seems really fucking misdirected. A bunch of republicans just passed a bill that gives a huge tax cut to the rich paid for with the literal lives of people who did not win the life lottery and you want to yell at a Dem who may have sung a stupid fucking song?
One should not underestimate the growing movement against Trump and the right that has been spawned since the election. But one should also not underestimate the pig headed hatred and stupidity that got Trump elected in The first place.
Nancy Pelosi has confirmed they are going to slam them on this. I like her quote. “You will glow in the dark.” There’s going to be nowhere to hide.
TUNING FORK TUNING FORK
You can have miserable, dark, gritty superheroes...or you can have a guy with a tuning fork on his head. You’re not allowed to have both.
Hmmmm, I’m curious, but I really don’t want Brietbart on my internet search history.
