I wasn't a fanatic about it or anything, but I thought it was an agreeably snarky, quirky bit of mindfuckery, with a great cast and soundtrack. I was too old to relate to the high school stuff very much, but enjoyed the spooky, weird vibe.

I feel like Darko came out and everyone was like, "Whoa, visionary talent!" and then the terrible Darko director's cut, Southland Tales and The Box and everyone was like, "Never mind!"
