As I recall, Unbreakable got kind of a "meh" reception at the time, but its reputation has improved over the years. I suppose it suffered from being the followup to Sixth Sense, but benefits in comparison to the films that followed.

I think the scene you're remembering came earlier in the film, where Glass is following a guy into a subway station and falls down some stairs. If I recall correctly, the last time we see Glass, he's being led away by the police.

I am – I loved Unbreakable, and have always been sad that the planned sequels never materialized.

Didn't the captions at the end say that he was committed to an asylum for the criminally insane?
