Agents of SHIELD is half-tits.

The Punisher was more or less a mediocre imitation of Homeland, but I really expected more from Steve Lightfoot after his run on Hannibal. Legion was truly excellent. The Gifted is a hard pass; if you haven’t seen it yet, it becomes pretty clear by midseason that most of the acclaim is undue. Defenders was kind of a

Nothing. Happened. This. Season.

Just FYI, Ichiran is pretty mediocre ramen. It photographs nice but is about as low-rung as you can get, gimmicks and flourishes aside. If you’re spying that U.S. location that opened in New York, opt for somewhere like Ramen Shack (by Keizo Shimamoto), the rotating host of guest chefs domestic & abroad at Ramen Lab

Both can eat my shorts. Ichiran is for tourists, and Ippudo is a big global chain. American ramen is practically another food group altogether, and it’s a pretty sad state of affairs outside a few bright lights here and there.

In my opinion, on its face, Bright is not a bad movie, even if it is written by a problematic figure like Max Landis. Clearly, Landis knows his buddy-cop movies from the familiar tropes he uses in Bright. But he’s not a futurist and definitely has no vision for who, where and how black folk will be in the future. This is, so far, the best take I’ve read on TLJ. I’m glad the AV Club still has this kind of writing left in it.

She wasn’t handpicked, she was next in the chain of command, like if the Secretary of Energy became President. Her being Leia’s friend was a twist.

For naysayers, I think y’all underestimate the kind of precedent this helps set for other publications as well to not be jerked around by corporate bullying of this degree. It’s not about “raising awareness” or virtue signaling, but pre-empting the idea that this just flies under the radar with no accountability.

Fuck you.

Sheldon is a particularly frustrating case, in that the creators actively respond to people projecting on the character and undermining any potential resonance they might have with him. Retaining his “outsider” appeal and general lack of relatability is what generates laughs in their minds; for example, when the

This isn’t the first time Morty’s gotten laid, but a lesser comedy prbably would’ve milked the joke well dry about him being a virgin that’s chronically unable to get any.

I resent the fact that this gif exists... so... much.

What a far cry from all the business the Death Note business that just happened. Kudos to this guy, honestly.

Is that the point the show’s trying to make though? Because the way toxicity is explored within the show’s universe has everything to do with internalized mechanisms and not the externalized labeling of things in other people as toxic. Toxicity generally refers to the ways that sets of self-destructive behavior drag

This brings raw joy to my heart.

Apparently they’re still working on transferring them all over in chunks, but yeah, wow, this is weird.

Or the fact that a drunk would leave an unguarded half finished six pack for someone to swipe from; that shit isn’t cheap!

H-hey, The 100 isn’t terrible!!
