De-tensify = removing verbal time? I also think that we have a real work for declouding: demystifying, or perhaps dehumidifying. Devaporizing? Defogging? Decumulus? Denimbus? Ah I know, you need to decirrus. I'd better stop, I'm having too much fun...
Well, I prefer to look at it like a feature. If I need to stay up until 2 in the morning to work, at least my monitor is collaborating with me on doing so. ;)
My computer is wonderful but my internet connection is pathetic and it doesn't look like my image is posting. That is all. (1.57 Mbs down and 0.82 up and 17ms ping...) :-(
Next week on Dirty Jobs our host Mike Rowe...
Better yet, manually refill your ink cartridges to save money on the money you're making. :P
It may just be the pdfs I was viewing but I can save by right clicking and saving as or by going to the wrench icon and saying save page as ([www.google.com] I have read here ([superuser.com] that if you don't see the save as in the right click menu, you can open the frame in a new window/tab and save from there. Then…
Don't you just love it? ;)
Same here, I'll have to test them myself. Probably I don't notice since I'm running chromium with hardware acceleration on i7 920 and a HD 5850 with 6gb ram. Then again, any little increase in performance is nice. :)
VOTE: nitro pdf
I haven't experimented with a vast amount of different pdf tools, but personally I use nitro pdf for reading, editing, and printing.
I've got a 320Gb NAS sitting around for my house. I just need to find the power cord and configure the new Windows 7 machines I built to use it a centralized homeshare location. Hopefully I'll be able to use this to view my ISO's on my TV. I may end up configuring XMBC on a netbook I have in order to use that as the…
My parent's house gets about 2Mbs down and .75 up. I don't know how much the connection costs, but since it's pretty much a monopoly I wouldn't be surprised if it was obscenely priced.
Quite true, I have a single monitor and I'm lucky if I have room to open my notebooks on my desk.
I hadn't heard about using VLC for handbrake until today. If you need a good decryption program though, try DVD Decrypter. It's free and I can use it to rip to ISO.
You can rip to ISO (I use DVD Decrypter to do this). It takes up quite a bit of room though (about 8-10 GB per disc for me) but you have a full drm-free copy of the dvd to work with.
I typically rip to ISO and that leaves me with a single disc image that I can watch with VLC, burn, or convert with handbrake. I use DVD Decrypter but there are other programs that can rip to ISO. Of course, keeping a full ISO takes up more room then converting it directly but with 2TB it works for me.
I use DVD Decrypter, I just set it to "rip to ISO" and it creates a nice drm free image that I can then burn, play, or convert. When I do convert movies for my Zune though, I use handbrake. If I want to watch the ISO's on my desktop I do use VLC.
Well, I guess I just need to be more careful about the sites I like then. Thanks for the answer.
Well, it's true, maybe I need to reverse my browsing habits so that AdBlock off by default and I actively choose to turn it on for each site. I do however make sure to whitelist all of my favorite sites (that don't have annoying ads). Almost all of the comics I follow and other sites I visit on a daily basis are…
