I’m totally with you! I’m not sure why this game started getting so much hate. Tidus was young, and I actually liked his character and growth quite a bit. Heck, this was one of the few Final Fantasies where I liked EVERY character, and actually enjoyed getting their super-weapons (well, except the butterflies...ugh,

The most annoying thing about the laughing scene is that it’s only ridiculous when taken completely out of context. The actual context is that it’s a deliberately forced and awkward laugh, which is why it seems so awkward.

Yuna’s sending scene is the high point for Squeenix FMV’s. It’s utterly beautiful, well-shot, gives us exposition, character development and emotion all in, I believe, under two minutes.

FFX was my first Final Fantasy and it too is my favorite of the bunch. I have so much love for this game and I thank you for summing up my feelings because I don’t have the verbal grace to put together such deserving praise of the game.

I went on a binge playing past FFs and that’s when I decided X is the best one for me too (storywise at least)! Yuna, on a second playthrough, becomes the most bad ass character in a Final Fantasy. Just the gravity of her task and the choices she makes is outstanding. She’s meek and respectful, but driven and

TLDR FFX is good.

Any annoyance caused by that laughing scene PALES in comparison to having to listen to people bitch about it for 16 freaking years.

X had my favorite battle system. Everything just clicked for me. I loved changing out characters mid fight, seeing the impact it would take on the turn order, and especially learning which characters traits made them best fit to fight specific enemies! I 100% that game, it took a bit longer than I would have liked, if

My boy Tidus rocking the Jecht headband, nice

I’ve always been a fan. Partially it’s because the CTB battle system is my favorite in any FF game, but I agree, the characters and the story are solid as well. It’s not an entire world with shifting themes like FF4 or FF7 or something with more internal politics like FF6 or FF9, but it’s not supposed to be. It has

Final Fantasy X is great because the ending is so bittersweet. One of the main characters ceases to be, robbed of a chance of the afterlife because he’ just a dream. FFX-2 never happened.

Oh definitely.

Preach, sister.

This was a pretty good year. I only donate to Summer games done quick because I think Doctor’s without borders is a better charity organization, but they had some pretty good games this year

Maybe you’re right. I’ll change it.

The title you used made it like it just happened yesterday.

He looks like a poorly-made Owen Wilson Muppet but this is what the straights want, I suppose.

Counter protip: The new version has some advantages over the old, including the restored loading screen games and 4K resolution.

I think the 2ch person, hits the nail on the head. I’d love to think it was some kind of positive shift in the culture in creating likable but also 3-dimensional women who are just as integral to the main characters growth as the villain.

But the constantly disappointed anime fan within me just thinks the fetish
