The most annoying thing about the laughing scene is that it’s only ridiculous when taken completely out of context. The actual context is that it’s a deliberately forced and awkward laugh, which is why it seems so awkward.

Yuna’s sending scene is the high point for Squeenix FMV’s. It’s utterly beautiful, well-shot, gives us exposition, character development and emotion all in, I believe, under two minutes.

FFX was my first Final Fantasy and it too is my favorite of the bunch. I have so much love for this game and I thank you for summing up my feelings because I don’t have the verbal grace to put together such deserving praise of the game.

Final Fantasy X is great because the ending is so bittersweet. One of the main characters ceases to be, robbed of a chance of the afterlife because he’ just a dream. FFX-2 never happened.
