I mean, if someone doesn't enjoy random encounters/thinks they're boring/thinks they're tedious, I don't mind. Go ahead, turn them off. But the poster I was replying to specifically said "I suck at this" and that seems like an incredibly silly reason.

It's a bit of a cop out to just say 'well I suck at managing resources'. Okay, if you suck, think about why you suck, and how you could do things better, and get better. Beyond simple entertainment, that's the redeeming feature of games - teaching you how to learn and solve problems on some level.

The soundtrack is really gorgeous. If you have a 3DS, you really owe it to yourself to download the demo - it's a prequel that lets you play through some stuff from 'before' the real game.

Short of a special wave, immigration is a mitigating factor, not a determining one. And automation in the work force creates other problems, if you haven't noticed.

With our social safety nets, or lack thereof, I'm not sure how wonderful a wave of immigration would be for anybody, but you're right - that is one solution. However, we're going to have to go through a lot of pain before enough people are convinced that not only is immigration not a crime, but that it is vital.

You can see it as good news all you want, because you feel ways about global population or something, but as far as the economy and quality of life, it's a bad thing. Birth rates decline, population gets older, work force gets older, so on. The people who can most afford to have children are the people who stop having

It's from Game of Thrones. That is... not Jonah Hill. That is a very bad man.

What was trolling about this?

Entirely aside from this incident, just... fuck Park Slope. Jesus. It has to be the most overcovered slice of the planet Earth in regards to journalism.

...Was it 'just to see people's reactions?'

The money absolutely could have been put to better use. As could all money, everywhere, at any moment, pretty much. It's one thing to say 'well, that's a waste of money,' and another to turn it into 'people are starving for your Dunham pics, Coen.'

Since avoidingmyfinalpaper just keeps dismissing responses:

And they could have fired Dodai Stewart and hired a professor to write an academic column. Or they could have set the money on fire. They could have given it to an unpaid intern! Again, it isn't hard to thing of things you wish or I wish they would have done with money - it isn't hard to do that with anyone's money.

The way money is distributed in this country is a serious issue. But Gawker Media has fuck all to do with it and a $10k bounty on Lena Dunham pics has even less.

Never get tired of this gif.

Congrats then? Your point holds about as much weight as ever.

Haha, I agree this thing is dumb, but the "Why not the food banks" thing has got to stop. "You put a sign in front of your business? THAT COULD BE MEALS" "Wow, you paid for a haircut? GET SCISSORS AND BUY MOSQUITO NETS"
