My tip.....lightly oil the crust before saucing. Prevents sauce from soaking in and creating a soggy crust.

Personally, I don’t see how people are missing it.  Rule one of games like this and RPG’s is make sure you fully explore the cave before leaving.  And you literally have nothing to lose since you just dropped in.
