Believe it was about 2012ish for us (outside of some specific heavy haul applications)....

We actually had collision avoidance systems in our units BEFORE it was commonplace in the passenger car segment.

No problem. A lot of drivers still complain about them and they aren’t great in all applications but trucking companies have figured out what all car makers (and even the exotic makers) have known for awhile: a human can’t/won’t shift as well as a computer.

FYI, the report of $14k a week referenced is very misleading. This is NOT for drivers. This company employs IC’s who provide their own tractor (and sometimes even their own trailer depending on the company). Even at that the $14k a week is likely a stretch and very manipulated (ie: including fuel…

I think Hyundai has a naming problem. I saw the headline and kept expecting to see the bed of a small pickup but nope. Crossover. Which got me thinking, “Wait.....what is the name of the pickup? Santa Fe? Isn’t it Tucson?”
