I’ve played a lot more of Diablo 2 than the original, but I’ll never forget those goddamn witches that walk exactly as fast as you do...

Lots of things make Zelda special as a game, but of course turning a good game into a good TV or movie adaptation is a totally different animal. I’d say the series has a fun and accessible high-fantasy setting, simple and recognizable characters (the stoic warrior protagonist, the wise and spunky magic-wielding

Yeah, that was a really good catch on Caroline’s part.

I remember that! That video was raunchy.

And such large chunks! What kind of maniac does that to pizza?

I wish this video had mentioned Colin Stetson’s fantastic score for Hereditary. It combines elements of modern atonality, low-frequency effects, and unsettling melodies in very creative ways. Nothing wrong with computer animation, but it gets exhausting when that’s the only option.

I have a weird affection for Castlevania 64. Yes, the controls are clunky and the camera is terrible a lot of the time, but it has a certain charm to it. The atmosphere works, and some of the boss fights are pretty memorable. The giant skeleton in the first level, the vampire encounter in the room with the mirror, the

Hell yeah pimp.

I wish they’d adapt it as a traditional hand-drawn animated series, but I guess there isn’t enough demand for that anymore. Seems like Don Bluth-style animation would be better suited for the daemon transformations, the steampunk world-building, the armored bears, etc.
