My husband and I were geeking out about the Norway locations in this episode! We went there for a couple weeks for our 10th anniversary awhile back. Their hotel with the little pods, river and sauna is Hotel Juvet (also seen in Ex Machina), which is a wonderful rustic place to stay but very expensive! The tram and

I watched Midsommar stoned with a friend--she made me turn it off at THAT scene.

I had a boyfriend who took me to see Scary Movie in the theater because he’d already seen it and it was soooo funny. About halfway through he leaned over and apologized; he’d seen it high and didn’t realize it was dogshit.

Yeah I think Clockwork Orange alone would bum me out.

Yeah, I disagreed with that one in that I’ve seen Eraserhead high and thought it was super entertaining (it’s such a surreal movie anyway!) But if you have a tendency toward anxiety while high, I can see how it isn’t the best choice.

Right?? I don’t know if you’ve watched the most recent episode, so I’ll be vague, but maybe in retrospect she was just frazzled by other issues, but while watching the ep I was like wooooow that seems like a big fuck you and your stupid wedding to Connor.

Three hours is a pretty hard sell for seeing in a theater anyway.

I’m in the same camp, was just the right age for it to really connect I think, and I also lived in the midwest. I mostly just thought that the Helen Hunt character was so cool. She was a scientist and smart but still sexy, but in like a down to earth way...and a young girl going through puberty I idolized her.

I wonder if they didn’t send out screeners, given the lateness of this very review.

I definitely thought he might come back for quite awhile because the AED was providing shocks, which means something is still going on in the heart (otherwise it says something like “no shock advised”), but at about the point where Tom was in the bedroom freaking out on Greg I said something similar like “OK if he

Yeah, Succession’s are the only ones I’ve ever found interesting. The White Lotus’s were “let’s point out incredibly obvious subtext...or even just text”

We need to address the most important issue in this episode: what the fuck was up with Shiv’s hair?

I agree, and I’m here for it.

I don’t think Shiv did the lawyer move because she never thought Tom would play dirty.

Yeah, I agree. I don’t think it was being self-aware, I think it was him trying to come to terms with the idea that Willa was potentially gone and him processing that in the least painful way possible (“I don’t even need love!”).

I’ll preface this by saying I’ve never seen any other Harmony Korine movies, so I may be way off. Although I really enjoyed Spring Breakers, it gave me the distinct impression that it was made by someone kinda dumb that accidentally made something interesting.

I’ve described it as perfectly encapsulating being high.

After Collateral I remember being disappointed by Miami Vice, but I didn’t think it was terrible.

Same, I was the perfect age to latch onto Hook but it was very meh for me. Same with Goonies...I was a really popular kid as you can tell.

Something something about my anus being mostly made up of water, methane, and ammonia ices.
