I have never heard of P.T. and now I can't wait to get home and download it. I might have to play it in several different sittings, considering I can't make through 15 minutes of Outlast without taking a break, but this game sounds like something I'd love.

I liked Monument Valley because it surprised me. I've always taken mobile games with a grain of a salt. Fun to pick up for a few minutes, but nothing that lasts. Monument Valley changed my mind, though. It's a fairly simple, but beautiful, game, in which you play a lost princess in a lost land, making your way through

I've always thought of it as SE saying, "Here guys, you can get past this now so you can get to the more challenging stuff." Whenever they nerf something, they also add something new and difficult.

I'm not sure about the actual names of the tracks in the game. I'll have to go play that one as soon as I can.

Talking about music, I remember the matador dream sequence in Psychonauts being pretty great.

Don't know when the last time you entered Pharos was, but in a patch they changed the intro music so it's not just intro anymore! I used to get so sad when it stopped and transitioned to the generic dungeon music, but now it just keeps going.

Very much yes. I have been reading, though, just not commenting so much.

While I didn't play much this year other than Final Fantasy XIV, the music of that game is incredible. Just wandering through Upper La Noscea or Western Thanalan is a joy. The new dungeon Snowcloak relaxes me even while in a battle with a mob of 7 monsters. And the endgame battle with Ultima (appropriately titled "The

You asked if there were any callbacks you missed. Kyle complaining about how there's no art anymore and it's just all "rehashed shit" is a definitely a callback to "You're Getting Old". Maybe a reason to bring back jaded Stan and have something to relate to with Kyle next week? Share a shot of Jameson or something.

No mention on how Alison tells the detective she needs to "call the sitter"? How long in the future is this if she has a child and Cole apparently isn't at the house to take care of him/her?

If you can't tell, I rather like 3D Dot Game Heroes, and I've played it through quite a few times. And I'm also quite happy with the inclusion of Shadows of the Damned. Big fun that one.

I saw him at Mohegan Sun, a casino in CT, before the Hartford incident. He promised a third season that night, just to give an approximate time. There were a bunch of guys in the front screaming, "YAY-UHH" and "WHAT?!" all night. At one point, Chappelle yelled at them, but I don't blame him for thinking bad about CT.

The text will be in 3D!!! And there will be a "help" button you can click on that solves the puzzle for you.

This is awesome. I've never played this, but spent time trying to download and play a torrent, always unsuccessful, or buy a not-ridiculously-priced copy online. Can't wait.

2nd edition? Make sure you check the time. I've had nights that we're pretty sure it's around midnight, but it's actually 3am. Also, expect fights.
If you can't tell, I love it.

Postgame FFXIII is what made me love it. I know it takes a while to get there, and some of game-game is painful, but just spending the time to level up, complete the sidequests (I forget what they're called), farm adamantoises, make my nirvana weapons. That stuff made it worth. It helps that the battle system is the

Story. I've played through most of the hard dungeons and bought almost a complete set of Myth Armor, but I stopped doing the story quests for a while for some reason, so I'm behind on that.

I really liked the Point Lookout DLC. Kind of a horror vibe to it.

It's funny that you mention Demon's Souls as the game that would be too difficult to get back into after a lapse. Of all games, that's probably the one, along with the sequels, that I just intuitively grasp no matter how long it's been. However, I used to always play with a shield until my last playthrough of Dark

A nuanced argument about how the creators of the show turned a scene of incestuous yet consentual sex into rape and how that change affects the character of the turned-somewhat-heroic-by-this-point Jaime Lannister and his relationship with his sister has somehow been interpreted into "Boys are icky rapists and rape
