@gizgizgiz: friends? not really no. im not an easy person to get along with.

@waclark57: yes, a long winded command can be difficult, but using the command line is no harder than trying to find a single checkbox fifteen menus down in a GUI either. six one way, half a dozen another

@MayorBloomberg: so you are saying this is *worse* than the android rogue app story? sweet! more vindication!

"but the process requires using the UNIX command line and this may be complicated for most consumers."

back when cray's were also considered chic decor!

my wife had her cake person make a Tux cake as the grooms-cake at our wedding. of course she's as much a geek as i am. ;)

@Spew: not entirely. It is a mix of both. People acting holier than thou as they push the knife deeper into your back and the general beliefs. People are as much responsible for my disillusionment as the actual belief system itself.

@SophT: um, there are quite a few renamer programs for linux, all with varying levels of automation you cn use. This can be easily done with linux, and what bloatware are you talking about? Archlinux with xfce barely hits 128MB (up that to 200+ when running a movie in XBMC) and it never even taps my dual core
