For what it’s worth, in my opinion we do a disservice to us all when we try to make evil men out to be somehow abnormal. Only “those” type of people—the crooked and perverted and damaged—do these types of terrible violence.

Evil men and wicked actions describe us as humans. We are all capable of terrible actions…

Unions can be bad too, just like companies can. 

It’s amazing how easy it is to be a decent human being. Kid wants to run a stand, people chip in to get him set up and give a nice giant middle finger to #permitpatty. 

I feel stupid, I almost teared up watching reading this story. It’s such a minor thing, but imagine if this is how society worked all the time for all the people. Sigh...

Im sure it did! the last thing she wanted was to bring attention to empower this young businessman to be an even greater future success.

Of all of the things I love about this story (and there are so many), I love that he named it Mr. Faulkner’s OFHD. I love that he chose a formal name!  I love his little old soul!!  He will continue to do well.

We all know had the races been reversed and it was a black man who “defended” himself by shooting a white man defending his family, that white man would be called a hero and that brother would be up under the jail and Lawyer-Sheriff Bob would be telling us all how he had no choice but to lock that brother up.

It’s a law in my state. It’s absolutely absurd they were told not to.

Especially in that type of stormy weather. Being a good swimmer means a lot less when you have white cap waves slamming into your face.

They say the boat canopy makes wearing a life jacket a bit dangerous. (you may float to the top and get stuck) As with an airplane, you are told to only inflate your vest outside the aircraft.

Right. Like, what is the argument against wearing life jackets? I can’t understand telling people not to wear them. Like my mother used to say, better to have and not need than need and not have.

I’m really mad that they were told not to put their life jackets on. I know common sense should rule but when you have someone who you assume knows what they’re doing, 9 times out of 10, you’re going to take their word and trust them.
