When there’s a line of cars all moving forward slowly toward a stop sign and the car in front of you starts to move to take its place at the front of the line, DO NOT ASSUME THEY WILL CONTINUE TO THE WHITE LINE. Because they might just move forward 4' and stop, so you can rear-end them at 5mph.

Smaller A-pillars.

It would be a Nice Pipe. Definitely a Nice Pipe.

Tonopah?

Except the British DO use miles. They always have and likely always will. However, they no longer use gallons, and when they did, they were Imperial gallons (different to US gallons) anyway, so UK MPG was always different to US MPG... They now sell petrol in litres (not liters 😁)

For those of you that don’t ride (and don’t frequent motorcycle-specific sites), Ari Henning is a smart, talented motherfucker. Also funny.

Automatic transmission.

No mention of Bradley or Mercedes’s motorcycles?

I have a He-Lite tethered vest. Bought it second-hand (never blown) for $220. Wear it EVERY SINGLE TIME I get on the bikes. The only additional cost so far was buying a couple of additional tethers for my other bikes.

Long live the Volkswagen Golf AllTrak!

And every single one says "Hispano-Suiza", in case you forgot what you were driving!

I bought a new 2017 VW AllTrak. I had no idea of what its Monroney sticker said, and I still don’t. I honestly don’t care. It gets ‘decent’ MPG but I’ve never attempted to calculate it. 25-ish, maybe? 30? 22?

+10000 to this.

I prefer a good automatic to a stick shift.

In Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe, they installed two mini-roundabouts a few years ago, but forgot that they needed to be usable by snowplows. Once they fixed that, they put in pedestrian crosswalks about 10 feet from either side of the roundabouts. So every time some tourist crosses the street, it doesn’t just stop

I turned down the chance to buy a Lotus Esprit Turbo for $10K two years ago. Running. Only requirement was that I never took it back to be repaired by the guy who was selling it...

To be fair, both traffic and roads in the Bay Area suck. Like, REALLY suck. Too many cars, too many shitty drivers, roads that are literally crumbling... It’s a fucking hellscape. And we’re apparently already back up to 85% of pre-Covid traffic...

With Gmail, I currently use multiple filters (like, more than 50 of them) to AUTOMATICALLY tag emails with different labels and bypass the inbox - it looks like Protonmail can’t do that. Did I miss something?

If it’s evening (after the meter maids go home) and you’ll be leaving that night or early the next morning, park in front of a fire hydrant. Worst case they’ll smash your windows or push your car out of the way if there IS a fire, which is pretty unlikely.
