It still happens. I haven’t been to a punk show in years because the last time I went, a guy picked me up and swung me at another guy like a cudgel.

If you look at r/trailmeals or other camping forums, people are just packing snickers. They’re great when you’re walking up hills all day and you’re desperate for calories.

That’s huge. My job is mainly research so I get a lot of requests for things that aren’t really in my wheelhouse, but people know I know stuff. So I’ve become known for knowing the right resource for a job, even if I’m not the one doing it. Seeing that on my review was awesome because I felt like I hadn’t really done…

They often do this for reservations. I specifically called some of my mom’s chronically late friends to tell them that they NEEDED to be on time for her retirement dinner. Otherwise, they’re throwing off service and I could be charged for every person who didn’t show up in time for dinner service.

I’ll also note that this works for the worst of all events: weddings. We booked a nice restaurant for our wedding/reception at noon instead of in the evening and it was less than half the price of hosting an evening wedding there. Plus, it was full service (because it’s a restaurant) and we didn’t waste our guests’…

I don’t know why people need to make it so complicated. Your MO is the only way to approach date situations. Everyone needs to expect to pay for their own stuff unless someone offers, then don’t make a huge deal out of refusing the offer.

As a short person with a small kitchen (but plenty of drawers), this is very inspiring.

Yeah, Keep’s already doing a lot of this and they update it often with new features. Plus I can make a list out of pictures. So if I go to the store or ask my partner to go, I can include pics I’ve taken of our favorite snacks so we get the right ones.

Yup, I still recommend the PS3 to people who have been out of the gaming loop for a while and want a huge library of high-quality inexpensive games.
