Depends on the kid really. I would have hardly any problems giving this game to 16 year old me, however. Personal preference really I just think it's a little too far for someone just starting high school to understand all the satire.

Like I said, lots of polish and tricks, but distance LOD is pretty terrible, the resolution makes seeing some things difficult, skin shading doesn't really work, a lot of the lighting effects are just Bloom, the range you need for NPCs to pop in is absurdly short. The water looks nice but the surface looks pretty low…

Maybe you need glasses. Yes, they are good for what they had to deal with, but they don't even come close to what we could do with reasonable amounts of ram and shading power.
