Cheap mixers, stuff like the xenyx 505 is their bread and butter they work if you aren't beating on them. Also if you aren't looking for anything permanent they make "OK" PA speakers (I would never trust that shit though)

True, didn't work out so well for the Sega though, and they had built a truly impressive console for the time.

Now that I'm thinking about it the Gamecube did have better graphics (it also had some super poorly ported games though that colored my opinion as a kid)

The PS2 can do a fair bit more than the Gamecube if the devs know all the "tricks" but during it's heyday very few were figured out.
