I think there is a big difference in the Police in WA who had cars donated to them by Holden Australia to run that program, and using taxpayer dollars. The program itself is a good thing. It’s the use of public funds that is the issue. I vaguely recall having a picture of the original Tango1 on a folder in

Now playing

Aesthetic taste aside, you are forgetting one big thing.

Aside from the fact the NA Ring Banana said it used 10 year old tyres (I personally think that is a dangerous thing to do on a race track, let alone a road) It’s seemingly in poor condition with a lot of rust. I think with fresh boots it would do a lot better. Still be cheaper too.

Please tell me you are doing an article on Jeff Kiesel’s(sp) Rotary powered Sprite photographed next to this MG? I remember seeing video of it years ago and thinking it was mental.

Serious question, is this press release just meant to be a heads up to whoever has it to maybe leave it somewhere quietly, and no questions will be asked? Why would this company tell anyone, why not just go get it? If they are that sure but still need confirmation, then they don’t really know for sure. Feels weird

Dash was still powered on as far as I could tell when they left the car. I don’t think they even hit the battery disconnect, and the fuel pumps were still feeding fuel to the front of the car, even though it appears there’s a disconnect on the codrivers dash? My worthless observation for the day

Holden had it’s own in house V8, and switched to the LS series motors in the early 2000's. Here’s the wiki link as there’s way too much info.

AW11 Mk1 MR2. Nissan Exa. F40. 512TR/Testarossa. Countach. You get the idea. Angular stuff.

oh this comment takes me back

Paseo had normal doors. Are you thinking of the Sera?

Thank you. Was thinking exactly this. I think the early ‘89 s13's had ca18's but the sr20 showed up not much after that. 4age arrived 1983 but was varied up thru the late 90's. The SR is all alloy so probably comparable weight once the turbo and ancilleries are there

that could be said of many cars of that era, with non collapsable steering column (harpoon) basic seatbelts and no crumplezones. Hell even cars in the 80's were deathtraps compared to the modern stuff, look at how thin the pillars on an old car are compared to the new ones. Although I love the improved visibility, new

most of the cars in the game are amalgamations of various cars into one, to avoid copyright from manufacturers, so I’d say it’s likely resembling both, as the DR30 has the text on the door.

The Karin Futo is based of a Toyota AE86 Levin. Futo = Tofu, an Initial D reference. If you also look on the door it says something like 20v, a nod to the 4AGE 20v (5 valve per cylinder) that is said to have been installed in Initial D.

Torch this happened in Victoria on the East Coast, not Perth WA. It’s not a Lincoln, it’s a Ford Fairlane Ghia

“as the shaft dangled from the knuckle, oozing black fluid.” Wait so I’m not sure if you just pulled the boot off either the inner or outer CV joint (in which case there should be GREASE not fluid) or you pulled the stub shaft out of the gearbox (in which case you need to refill the gearbox)

no didn’t you hear? It was the demise of the Moonshiners.
