Had to be done.

Video not available in my country (Australia)

One in good condition is hard to find. There weren’t a huge amount made (less than 4400 according to wiki) and they have a fairly solid following in Japan.

that particular car is mid engined, altho only 3cylinder and turbo. Autozam AZ1. They are actually quite rare, a Japanese market only Kei car. Has gullwing doors too, super cool IMHO

I agree with Torch. Your first car should be a pile, that way if you write it off or ding it (if you’re a male...this is sadly likely) it’s not a big issue, keep it cheap but enjoyable. If you spend the whole 10k first up you won’t be able to afford repairs, fuel or any unforseen issues (or insurance) I won’t

This is a similar near miss at Kesselchen a few years ago. Being as the ‘ring is mainly blind cresting or dipping corners, this will happen. The amount of warning before accidents at least in my short time there was not enough for high speed cars to wash off speed quick enough thru blind corners safely. This footage

pretty sure the ca16e is throttle body injection, at least that’s what they came with here.

I had an ‘89 sports coupe version (ca18de) I bought for $500 a few years ago. Most fun $500 I’ve ever owned, even tho the engine was tired. These things have POP OUT AIRVENTS in the doors! It’s so funky and 80's, love the modular design. Things to look out for - dicky headlight switch which can cause the high beams to

yup and later examples came with the ca18de too.

thank you! all these n00bs saying it’s a skyline was doing my head in!

Thank you. This was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the car.

Make it soonish. Prices are already going skyward

it was made shortly after the princess Diana car crash. I guess they figured public discussion/interest was right at the time for such a documentary? Just because something seems obvious to you, doesn’t mean other people have never even contemplated such things *shrug*
