Here you go Stef. Someone was kind enough to link this to BTG’s facebook page.
colour me intrigued....what did this do? increase airflow over wing and thus downforce?
some links to pictures of TVIS bits under the intake
I know if the TVIS diaphragm plays up you get some fun noises. It’s under the intake, probably better getting under the car or taking the intake off. Only other thought would be a vacuum leak somewhere. Maybe try finding it with Throttle body cleaner etc.
if it’s an AW11, there is also an inner rack bush (on the long side of the rack) that wears over time. Here’s the part number for the Right hand drive version, shouldn’t be too hard to find the LHD type if that’s what you have using ToyoDIY etc.
furry furry intake noise <3
Not amazing if it is a non interference motor (valves can’t hit pistons)
this one can be ridden on the street tho
Jack Monkhouse in the Australian Rally Championship. Photo is not mine.
who builds a car like this, then doesn’t push it to it’s limits? This is still a case of buying someone elses project car and the problems that entails, albeit an expensive project car. The fact he harps on about there being no warning lights makes me wonder if they didn’t just remove the globes from the dash hah
Two Rogers don’t make a right.
could be worse.
The stock jzz30 (1jzgte) equipped soarer slushbox will be starting to slip at this power level without mods. No idea if the 2jzge or 2jzgte slusher is fitted to this or what power they will handle.
Having operated this bit of gear that DOES have hydraulic jacks built in (that slowly creep down as you use it, eventually causing it to bottom out jarring the operators spine) No. Just no. If you are having that many flats, get better tyres or use a different road.
Toyota 503e. It isn’t diesel.
3s's tend to crack blocks above a certain power level. Especially the earlier ones. can't remember if it was 450hp or kw but somewhere around there. It's part of the reason they were never as popular as the sr20 etc with the aftermarket crowd. they are a nice torquey little unit tho.
No one has posted this yet AFAIK. It’s a documentary with the owner. Worth a watch if you have an hour free at some point.

all I could think of was this shot from a ferrari promo.
