I'm in agreement with your dad.  what's the point of buying expensive kicks for a kid who 1) will grow out of them in a week, and 2) probably doesn't like my taste in shoes, anyway?  however, I'm going to go ahead and contradict myself now because you better believe my daughter is getting a pair of Gazelles or Campus

I think you’ve missed the point. It has no engine, hence no emissions of any kind. If you like the car for the style, you can buy any engine you want, up to and including an electric one. But with that said, any LS engine would be fuel injected and have the proper emissions equipment. Even a pre-smog engine can be

only the part about ricing his Versa.  I support the Skyline plan.

my winter tires did not keep me from sliding into a snowbank on Sunday.  yet another reminder my BMW SAV != real truck.  A Landcruiser pulled me out.

the thing I can’t square is that plenty of other characters (like Hugo) also had big manga eyes in the comic. why is she the only one with them in this movie? makes her look like Christopher Lloyd in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

isn't AC useful for dehumidifying the car while defrosting? I keep my AC on year-round for just that purpose.

Frankly, I buy them to have the option of shifting in a fuel efficient way, or shifting more aggressively, depending on my mood. it’s like an ECO or Sport setting *I* control, rather than the car.

This post has inspired me to hold onto my 2001 4-cyl Ford Ranger. it needs some body rust repair but the engine and transmission are champs. I get 28mpg on the highway so I’m pretty happy with that.

A five-minute adventure? Remind me not to go on any adventures with you, buddy.

well, you certainly are entering the motorcycle lifestyle in style. you’ll probably exit it in that way, as well.

how is this "mid-sized"?  it looks as long as a Suburban.

how do they only get 62hp out of a 2.5l diesel engine?  what is it? 1975?

I’ve owned 13 cars since age 16 and I can honestly say I still enjoy a lightweight rear wheel drive car with a stick shift (first car was a 1982 Rx7). however, the adult me likes leather and heated seats. I’ll probably buy another luxury crossover to replace the current one but eventually also buy a weekend track car.

sounds like a great idea for "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 2".  Sean Connery might even come out of retirement for that.

take your star, you beautiful bastard.

Correction: Raimi's Delta 88 has been in all of his movies, including The Quick and the Dead.   It was just behind some scenery.

+1 for Mt Washington

C'mon.  Thomas Lennon deserves better than that.

there is great irony in this sentence:

Looks a lot like an Opel Vectra from the same era.  I suspect that isn't a coincidence.
