In some cases yes. In a lot roof cases, it is just how people find out. They try and log in at home before getting in and find they can’t log on, only to get to work and find out the true reason why.

I work in I.T. and the first thing that is usually done is to cut off access to email, log in etc. Granted most places will wait until the employee comes into the office and HR ushers them off to a meeting room while we disable them.
